Glass
I started engraving glass with a cordless Milwaukee rotary tool during the first year of the covid shutdown. At first, I practiced on glass that I dug out of our recyclables, using pizza sauce and salsa jars. As I got much better with constant practice, Brian and I brainstormed on what we could make with those recycled engraved jars, which is how the lamps were created. I loved the intricate damask patterns but found engraving trees to make a lovely scene too.
I’m currently experimenting with shading, engraving flowers and ferns with more detail. I can’t wait to bring my new ideas to life!
